The Experience

The ryotei in Asakusa is quiet when you arrive—wooden beams, low light, the smell of grilled fish and dashi broth already in the air. And if you're booking for fewer than six people, you'll be placed on a waiting list until the group fills up, or offered a different date—though the company may still run the event with just one geisha if that works for your schedule. Book as early as you can; three months ahead is ideal, though one month is the minimum they ask for.
