The experience

The shoot works around your travel schedule and your choice of location. If you don't have a specific spot in mind, the photographer will suggest one. If you do, you tell them where via chat or at booking. The session runs for one hour at the place you've chosen, and the photographer handles the technical work (framing, lighting, posing direction), so you can focus on being in front of the camera instead of behind it.

Within a week of the shoot, you receive all 100+ original photo files. You then pick your 10 favorites, and the photographer applies color correction to those: adjusting mood, tone and atmosphere to match what you're after. If the forecast calls for rain three days before the shoot, or if it suddenly rains on the day itself, you can reschedule to a different date, switch to an indoor location the photographer suggests, or cancel for a full refund. If you arrive late, the shooting time and file count may be reduced.

The photographer speaks English and Japanese. Public transportation to your chosen location is available nearby, and you cover any entrance fees for paid sites like the castle or park. Infants and small children can come along in a pram or stroller, and the activity suits all fitness levels.
