You prepare the matcha yourself, not just watch someone else make it.
Prepare and taste matcha at Japan Premium Lounge in Ginza with a live English guide. Choose between learning matcha preparation with a seasonal sweet (30 minutes), tasting three distinct Japanese teas (hojicha, green tea, and matcha) with a sweet (45 minutes), or wearing casual kimono while you prepare matcha (30 minutes). All three options include tea, matcha, Japanese sweets, and all fees and taxes.
The Experience
You arrive at Japan Premium Lounge in Ginza and choose one of three options depending on how deep you want to go. The shortest is matcha preparation alone: you learn the history and etiquette, then whisk and drink your own matcha with a seasonal Japanese sweet. The middle option stretches to 45 minutes and lets you taste and compare three varieties (hojicha, green tea, and matcha) each with a sweet. The longest adds a casual kimono: you wear it, then prepare matcha the same way as the first option, learning the same history and etiquette before you whisk.
A live guide in English walks you through whichever you pick. The whole experience is built for travelers with limited time: none of the options run longer than 45 minutes, and the lounge sits in Ginza where public transportation options are nearby. All three are wheelchair accessible, and the space works for infants and small children.

Is this one for you?Pick the matcha experience or premium tea tasting if you want to taste without changing clothes. Choose matcha with kimono if you want the cultural moment of wearing one while you prepare the tea. The 30- or 45-minute window means you fit this into a morning or afternoon without reshaping your whole day in Ginza.
