The Experience

There was this soft hush as we stepped into the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove — not silence exactly, but that kind of gentle sound bamboo makes when the wind moves through it. The tour ended near Chopsticks Studio Kyoto. Some people went inside for the workshop; I just watched for a minute through the window as someone sanded their chopsticks so carefully you’d think they were carving a violin. Walking back toward the train station, I kept replaying that moment under the bamboo — it really does feel like stepping into another world for a while.
