The experience
You drive, not ride. The tour rotates you through at least two and up to four different JDM sports cars from the fleet: R35 GT-R, R32 GT-R, FD3S RX-7, GR Supra, GR Yaris, Lancer Evolution 6, Honda Integra Type R, Honda S660 (Spoon) or Alto Works (Monster), so you get behind the wheel of multiple dream machines in a single day. An English-speaking guide leads in a pace car, setting the route and the speed. You follow in formation and cannot overtake unless instructed. The tour is leisure-focused and bound by Japanese traffic law, not a racing event.
The drive climbs the Hakone Turnpike to the Turnpike Skylounge for a break and views, then tackles the Lake Ashinoko Skyline (one of Japan's most famous touge routes) with a stop at Mikuni Parking to see Mount Fuji. You then drive the Hakone Skyline and finish with the Tsubaki Line mountain passes before heading to Daikoku PA, the world's largest car meet, where you park your JDM machine and walk the grounds to see what else showed up that day. The whole experience runs eleven hours, starting with pickup at Noborito Station at 8:45am and ending around 8:00pm. Noborito is only sixteen minutes from Shinjuku Station by train.
Fuel, tolls and insurance are built into the price. You pay per car, and one non-driving companion can ride along. You must bring an original passport, valid local driving license and International Driving License (1949 Geneva Convention) on the day: no documents means no participation and no refund. Some cars require manual transmission experience. In case of accident, an insurance excess of up to ¥350,000 may apply, and you'll need to bring a valid Visa, Mastercard or Amex for the authorization form. The tour runs in rain but may be cancelled and rescheduled if snow or extreme weather is forecast. No alcohol before or during the drive.

Is this one for you? This is a hands-on driving tour, not a passenger ride. You're behind the wheel the whole time in a guided convoy, so it suits drivers who want to experience multiple sports cars on real mountain roads rather than watch a demonstration or take a sightseeing tour. The fixed group pace and guide-led route mean you're not free to set your own speed or direction, which keeps everyone safe and legal on public touge roads.
