The experience
Maria, the guide and owner, meets you at Colette Mare near Sakuragicho Station, at Osanbashi Pier, or at your hotel in Minatomirai. Before the tour, you message her with your three chosen stops and preferred start time. She can adjust for cruise ship schedules if you're arriving by water. The car is a Toyota XL or Mercedes-Benz, and the whole experience is built to keep walking to around 3,000 steps total, so you spend more time at each place and less time in transit.
The eight options span Yokohama's layers: Osanbashi Pier, a historic port with a rooftop wooden deck overlooking Minato Mirai and the bay; the Red Brick Warehouse, a restored early-20th-century landmark now filled with cafés and shops; Yamashita Park, a waterfront green space with the historic Hikawa Maru ship and rose gardens; Yokohama Chinatown, the largest in Japan, packed with restaurants and temples; Iseyama Kotaijingu Shrine, a quiet hilltop shrine dedicated to the same Sun Goddess worshipped at Ise; Motomachi, a charming shopping street of boutiques and local bakeries; Sankeien Garden, a traditional Japanese garden with relocated historic buildings (about 20 minutes by car from central Yokohama); and the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum, where you can design and make your own bowl. Some stops (Sankeien and the Ramen Museum) take longer, so if you pick either one, you'll choose only one or two other locations.
The tour runs 3 to 4 hours and works for solo travelers, couples, families, and anyone who wants to move at a relaxed pace with frequent breaks. If you need a wheelchair, let Maria know at least three days ahead. She accepts foldable wheelchairs that fit in the car, and the itinerary can be adjusted to minimize walking. If you request it before the tour, she'll send you a short video within three days afterward. Admission fees to museums and gardens, and the cost of food, are separate from the tour price.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (6 to 11 years); Infant (under 1).
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is Osanbashi Pier like, and why is it worth visiting?
Osanbashi Pier is one of Japan's historic ports where the country first opened to the world. The rooftop features a wide wooden deck that gives the feeling of standing on a ship, with panoramic views of Minato Mirai's skyline, the Red Brick Warehouse, and the Yokohama Bay Bridge. On clear days you can even see Tokyo Skytree. The pier is fully accessible with gentle slopes and ramps for wheelchair users.
Can I visit Sankeien Garden and the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum on the same tour?
No. If you choose Sankeien Garden or the Ramen Museum, you can pick only one or two other stops because of travel time. The two sites are about two hours apart by car, so combining them would leave little time to enjoy either one. Maria recommends choosing one or the other, not both.
What happens if I'm arriving by cruise ship and need to adjust the start time?
You can book the tour first, then message Maria with your preferred start time to match your ship's schedule. She adjusts the 12:30 p.m. default to earlier or later as needed, so the tour fits your arrival and departure.
How much walking is involved in this tour?
The tour is designed to keep walking to around 3,000 steps total, thanks to car transportation between stops. This makes it suitable for travelers who prefer a relaxed pace, families with young children, and anyone with mobility considerations. If you have specific accessibility needs, Maria can customize the itinerary further.
What is included in the tour price, and what costs extra?
The tour price includes car transportation, the guide, and hotel pickup if needed. Admission fees to museums and gardens: such as Sankeien Garden (900 yen) and the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum, and the cost of any food or shopping are separate. Tips are not included.
