The experience
You arrive at Seishintei's entrance and begin with a cup of sencha in the tea room, settling into the pace of the experience. Then you change into a kimono or yukata (the rental is included), and move into the matcha preparation. You'll taste matcha alongside traditional nerikiri sweets, learning the ritual as you go. The guide walks you through each step in English, so the sequence itself becomes part of how you understand the practice rather than something explained from a distance.
After matcha, you move to the café area overlooking the park. This is where the setting reveals itself: Mt. Fuji rises across the landscape, and cruise ships pass in the distance. You have time for a photo session here, framed by seasonal greenery that changes through the year. The experience wraps with seasonal desserts, bringing the two hours to a close in the same room where the views anchor everything.
