Step-by-step itinerary
Japanese culture and crafting experience
- Enter BROTHER JOYFACTORY TOKYO
- Dress in kimono and wield sword
- Strike poses in digital samurai game
- Receive custom-printed T-shirt
- Download personalized VFX samurai movie
The experience
You arrive at the studio near Tokyo Station and move through four interactive stations. The Samurai Legend experience anchors the visit: you put on a kimono, handle a Japanese sword, and strike poses in a digital game that captures your movements. A custom T-shirt prints with your image, and you download a personalized VFX samurai short film to keep. That's included in every ticket.
Then you pick one additional craft to take home. Karaoke Record lets you sing from a menu of 100 Japanese songs in a private booth with pitch correction or vocal tuning mode. Your recording gets pressed onto a real vinyl record with a custom photo jacket. Shodo Stage gives you a giant brush and a canvas where dynamic projections guide your calligraphy strokes. Your finished work gets foil-printed onto a mini hanging scroll. Sewing Studio stocks colorful Japanese fabrics. You hand-sew your choice of a pouch or drawstring bag, stitch by stitch. English assistance is available throughout, and the ordering terminals support English, Chinese, Spanish and French.
The whole visit runs about two hours. Families with children as young as 8 can book together. One child aged 7 or under enters free per group. Public transportation reaches the venue easily, and the space is wheelchair accessible.
