Dunn's River Falls and Bamboo Rafting

  • Visit Columbus Park historic site
  • Climb Dunn's River Falls
  • Bamboo rafting on Rio Nuevo River

The experience

The day starts on a handcrafted 30-foot bamboo raft on the Rio Nuevo River, where the water runs calm and clear through untouched rainforest. Your captain navigates the serene stretch, pointing out the landscape and explaining the local culture and ecology as you drift. This is not a thrill ride. It is the tranquil half of the day, built for drifting and listening rather than paddling or steering.

After the river, the tour moves to Dunn's River Falls, Jamaica's most visited natural attraction. The waterfall drops 600 feet in a series of terraced pools and cascades that you climb step by step, moving from one natural basin to the next. A quick stop at Columbus Park, a 16th-century site on the way, frames the history of the North Coast before you reach the falls. The climbing itself is the physical core of the day, not technical, but steady and wet, with time to swim in the pools between ascents.

Transport is air-conditioned and pickup is included. Bottled water and all entrance fees are covered. The full day runs seven hours from start to finish.
