The experience

Your driver picks you up at your Negril hotel and drives 25 minutes to the ranch, where a professional guide briefs you before saddling up. After the beach, the driver takes you up into the mountains to Mayfield Falls, a hidden valley with 20 natural pools fed by mineral-rich water cascading over limestone. Each pool offers a different experience. The most popular stop is "The Washing Machine," where the force of falling water creates a natural massage effect. You'll have time to wade, swim and soak in the cool, clear water before heading back down.

The full outing runs seven hours from pickup to drop-off. Bring a change of clothes and a towel. The ride and the waterfalls both involve getting wet. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the experience is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries.
