The experience

Your driver meets you at your Port Antonio location and drives you inland toward the Blue Mountains. The route takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, climbing into the Portland hills where the Spring Hill district sits at elevation. Once you arrive, you'll meet Mr. Devon, a local coffee farmer who runs the tour himself. He walks you through the stages that turn a coffee cherry into the beans you brew at home: the harvest, the processing, the drying, the roasting. You'll see the equipment and the workflow, and you get a complimentary cup to taste what the farm produces.

The morning centers on the farm itself: its landscape, its methods, and how the work actually happens. You'll have time to look at the coffee displays and to ask questions about what you're seeing. If you want to buy whole beans or ground coffee to take home, or coffee liquor made on-site, those are available. Lunch comes next, and you choose where: eat on the farm itself, or the guide can take you to a local restaurant, jerk pit, or street food vendor nearby. Either way, the cost is covered in your tour price.

The return journey to Port Antonio takes another hour and fifteen minutes. The full day is about five hours from pickup to drop-off, with most of that time spent on the farm and the road. Bring water (bottled water is provided), and wear shoes that work for walking on uneven ground. The elevation and the terrain mean you'll need a moderate level of fitness to move comfortably through the day.
