The experience
The day starts with pickup at your resort in an air-conditioned vehicle that takes you through small towns and rural villages on the way to Hanover Parish, northwest of the island. You'll see how locals live and work in both inner cities and countryside before arriving at the ATV site. Once there, you ride through forest terrain on dirt tracks. Expect to get wet and muddy as you navigate the green forest landscape. The riding is the core of the experience, and the terrain is built for it.
After the ATV portion, your driver takes you to Margaritaville on Negril's seven-mile beach, where you can rest and dry off. The beach has watersports available if you want to add something extra (at your own cost). From there, the driver brings you to Rick's Cafe on the west end of Negril, perched on the cliffs, where you can watch the sunset and order food or a drink if you'd like. The stop at Rick's is timed so you catch the light before heading back to your resort. A complimentary stop at a gift shop is also built into the route if you want to pick up souvenirs.
Lunch is included at the ATV site. Bring money for drinks or water if you want them during the day. The activity runs five hours total from pickup to return. A live guide in your choice of English, Spanish or German is with the group throughout.
