The experience

The tour starts at the Arco dei Gavi, a Roman triumphal arch that once marked the ancient city's gateway. From there you ride past Porta Borsari (a gate with original Latin inscriptions still visible), and into the layered streets of Verona's center: Piazza Erbe, Juliet's Balcony in the Capuleti courtyard, the Duomo's blend of Romanesque and Gothic, and the medieval Scaligero tombs. The e-bike lets you move between these stops without the stop-and-start of walking. The guide sets the pace and tells the story of each place as you arrive.

The climb to Castel San Pietro is where the e-bike earns its place. The hills above the city would be a slog on a regular bike, but the motor carries you through green silence to a terrace where the view opens across bell towers, rooftops and river bends. From there the route descends to Ponte Pietra, Verona's oldest bridge, and follows the riverside path with the Adige flowing below. You pass through Sottoriva's medieval arches and the gothic layers of San Fermo Church, then ride past the Arena, still hosting opera nights, and across the crenellated Castelvecchio Bridge before the tour ends at Basilica di San Zeno in the quieter San Zeno district.

The tour runs three hours and includes the e-bike, helmet and a licensed local guide in English. You choose between a morning or afternoon departure. Both require a minimum of two riders.
