The experience

You meet at a central point in Sorrento at 8:15am and transfer to Piano di Sorrento port, where the boat departs for Ischia. The route along the Gulf of Naples passes Nisida and the Phlegraean Fields before reaching the island. The first stop is Maronti beach, nearly 3 kilometers of sand, followed by the Green Cave: a natural rock cavity where light reflects off the water in shades of green. You swim and snorkel here before the boat heads to the Aragonese Castle, a fortress on a massive rock connected to the island by a 220-meter bridge.

After the castle, you have 3 to 4 hours free in Ischia's port town to explore on your own: walk the streets, rent one of the iconic three-wheeled Apecars, or visit local points of interest. The boat then sails to Procida, stopping along the way to swim in one of the island's bays. You'll pass the islet of Vivara and Terra Murata, a former prison fortress, before arriving in Marina di Corricella, the village famous for its multicolored houses. Another 1 to 2 hours of free time lets you wander Procida by land. The return journey to Sorrento port includes a limoncello tasting on board.

The boat carries a maximum of 12 people, so the group stays small. A Caprese sandwich, snacks, soft drinks, water, beer, wine and Prosecco are included. You bring your own snorkeling gear or buy a mask and snorkel before boarding. The tour requires a minimum of 4 travelers and is subject to weather. If conditions turn poor, you get an alternative date or full refund. Return transport from the port back to your hotel is available on request as an optional add-on.
