The Experience
The boat leaves Sorrento and heads toward the Amalfi Coast, passing Bagni della Regina Giovanna with its natural waterfall before reaching the first swim stop. You'll anchor at Li Galli Islands or Furore Fjord—both known for clear emerald water—and have time to jump in. The route follows the coastline past Nerano and Praiano, small villages built into the cliffs that you see from the water rather than visit.
Positano comes next, and you get 1 hour 30 minutes to walk its narrow cobblestone streets on your own. The town tumbles down the hillside in pastel colors, with artisan shops selling ceramics, handmade clothing and lemon products, plus cafes where you can sit and look at the sea. This is free time, not a guided stop—you choose what to do with it. Amalfi follows with the same amount of time; the Duomo and historical center are the main draws, though again you're on your own to explore.
The skipper is English-speaking and stays with the boat. Snacks—potato chips, peanuts and tarallini—come with the tour, along with water, soft drinks, beer and one bottle of Prosecco to share. The full day is 8 hours from departure back to Sorrento. Sea conditions can affect the itinerary, and the minimum group size for a shared tour is 6 people; if that number isn't met after booking, you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Is this one for you?Book the shared tour if you're comfortable with up to 6 people and want the lower price; choose private if your group prefers the boat to yourselves. Either way, this works best if you're a swimmer—the highlight is the water stops—and if you're happy exploring Positano and Amalfi on your own rather than with a guide.

What's the water like at Li Galli Islands and Furore Fjord?
Both stops are known for clear emerald water where you can swim. Li Galli Islands are dramatic rock formations rising from the sea; Furore Fjord is a narrow inlet carved into the coast. The exact stop depends on sea conditions, but either way you'll have time to get in the water.
How much time do I actually get to walk around Positano and Amalfi?
You have 1 hour 30 minutes in each town. That's enough to stroll the main streets, visit a shop or two, grab a coffee, and see the layout, but not enough for a long meal or a hike into the hills.
Is the skipper a guide, or just driving the boat?
The skipper is English-speaking and present throughout the day, but this is a boat tour with swimming stops and free time in towns—not a guided walking tour. You'll get information about what you're seeing from the water, but the time in Positano and Amalfi is yours to spend as you like.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to bring?
Snacks, water, soft drinks, beer and one bottle of Prosecco per boat are included. You'll want to bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and a towel; beach towels can be rented for €5 per towel in cash on the spot. There's also a €15 per-person destination fee for docking and landing, payable in cash when you arrive.
Can I book this as a private tour instead of sharing with others?
Yes—the tour is available as either a shared tour (up to 6 people) or a private tour. You choose which option at checkout.
What happens if the weather is bad or the sea is rough?
Sea conditions can affect which stops you visit and how long you spend at each one. If conditions are severe enough, the tour can be cancelled after confirmation; you'd be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
