The experience
The boat leaves from the Gulf of Olbia and sails to three main stops, each one a different reason to get in the water. Capo Ceraso is a granite promontory on the southern shore, its coves sheltered from the wind and ringed by Mediterranean scrub that drops straight into emerald water. Tavolara is an imposing limestone island. You'll anchor near the bay of Spalmatore and snorkel off cliffs rich in fish and other marine life. Molara, wild and uninhabited, has the Natural Pools: a stretch of sea so transparent you see the sandy bottom, and the seabed is thick with life. Figarolo sits on the northern side, surrounded by a seabed full of fish and home to seabirds. Bottlenose dolphins hunt in this area and sometimes surface near the boat.
You decide with the skipper which cove to anchor in and how long to stay. Between stops, you sail in silence and watch the coastal landscape change color. Snorkeling equipment is on board. Lunch is a first course of fish, served while you're anchored. Cold tea, Coke, coffee, beer and local wine come throughout the day, along with salty snacks. Children have a menu option on request. The boat has comfortable interior spaces, so families with small children can rest inside if they need to, and the trip suits all fitness levels.
Arrive 30 minutes before departure. The skipper speaks English or Italian. Eight hours total, though the exact rhythm depends on where you choose to stop and how long you want to stay in each cove.

Is this one for you?The boat is shared, so you'll travel with other small groups and families, not as a private charter. The skipper's role is to sail, anchor and help you choose stops, not to guide you underwater, so this suits anyone comfortable exploring the water independently with a mask and snorkel.
