Step-by-step itinerary
Paddleboarding and snorkeling tour
- Start at Nadia Beach
- Receive paddleboarding introduction
- Use provided equipment
- Explore coastline and Punta del Mesco
The experience
You start at Nadia Beach, where the instructor walks you through stand-up paddleboarding on dry land before you touch the water. The basics take a few minutes to absorb: how to stand, how to paddle, how to stay balanced. Then you're on the board, moving under your own power along the coast between Levanto and Monterosso. The route passes Punta del Mesco, a rocky headland that breaks the shoreline into smaller bays and hidden inlets where the water stays calm enough to stop and snorkel.
The snorkeling happens in those coves and sea caves the paddle route opens up. You wear the mask and snorkel provided, and you slip in from the board when the guide signals a good spot. The paddle itself is the work (two and a half hours of steady movement), but the pace stays easy and the instructor adjusts it to the group. A wetsuit keeps you warm in the water, and a waterproof bag holds anything you bring that can't get wet.
The tour runs with a live guide who speaks English or Italian. Public transport reaches Nadia Beach, so you don't need a car to get there. All surfaces and areas are wheelchair accessible, though the paddleboard itself requires the ability to stand and balance on the board.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English or Italian, so choose the language that fits your group. The paddle itself is the main effort (two and a half hours of steady movement), so this suits anyone comfortable standing and balancing on a board for that length of time, not a passive boat ride.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Do I need to have paddleboarded before to join this snorkeling trip?
No. The instructor teaches the basics on the beach at Nadia before you launch, using safe, easy-to-learn techniques. Beginners start here every day.
What's included in the paddleboard snorkeling tour?
The tour includes the paddleboard and paddle, life jacket, snorkel mask, wetsuit, waterproof bag, snacks, and the guide's instruction. You bring nothing but yourself and a swimsuit.
How long is the paddle, and how much of it is snorkeling?
The whole excursion is two and a half hours. Most of that time you're paddling along the coast. You stop to snorkel in the coves and caves the route passes, but the paddle itself is the main activity.
What's Punta del Mesco, and why does the tour go there?
Punta del Mesco is a rocky headland on the coast between Levanto and Monterosso. The paddle route follows the shoreline past it, and the rocky inlets around it create calm coves where snorkeling is safe and the water is clear.
Can I get to Nadia Beach without a car?
Yes. Public transportation options are available near the beach, so you can reach the starting point without driving.
