The Experience

Can you really kayak if you've never done it before? Yes—most clients on this tour have never paddled a kayak and leave with big smiles. The guide teaches everything you need to know to paddle comfortably, and the traditional sea kayaks are easier to handle than sit-on-top versions. You'll have a choice between a single or double kayak depending on what suits you. The three-hour window gives you time to find your rhythm without rushing, and the coastline at Capo Figari is the kind of place that rewards a slow approach: towering cliffs, secluded beaches, and the kind of wildlife—dolphins included—that you rarely see from land.

The route takes you close enough to explore the rock formations and caves that line the shore, and your guide shares the history and ecology of the area as you paddle. Halfway through, you'll stop on a quiet beach away from the crowds for a swim and snorkel. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and the guide knows the best spots for seeing what lives in the water here. If you'd rather rest on the beach and take in the view, that's fine too—the stops are built around what you want to do, not a fixed schedule.

Parking costs one euro per hour if you drive to the meeting point; public transportation options are available nearby. The tour runs in English or Italian, and children from age 4 can join—infants and small children can ride in a stroller at the start. All gear is included: kayaks, buoyancy aids, spraydecks, paddles, and dry bags for your belongings.
