The Experience

I grabbed a snack at the market (something fried and salty) before we walked to the Rialto Bridge. There’s this spot halfway across where you can look down at boats weaving between each other like they’re in on some secret choreography. The gondola ride came last — quieter than I expected, just five of us gliding through narrow canals while sunlight bounced off green water onto peeling paint. Honestly, I still think about that view under one arched bridge; everything seemed to pause for a second there.
