The experience

You arrive at the rafting center in Lucca, change into your swimsuit, and get fitted with a life jacket and helmet. The staff stores valuables in lockers while your car stays in the free parking lot. A minibus then takes your group to the meeting point on the Serchio River, where your certified guide runs through the safety commands, paddle technique and river behavior before anyone enters the water.

Once on the water, the 90 minutes unfold as paddling, sliding and play: the guide leads the pace and keeps the group together. The river carries you downstream until you pass under Devil's Bridge, the natural landmark where the activity ends. From there, the minibus brings everyone back to the rafting center to change and collect your things.

A live guide speaks English or Italian throughout. Public transportation stops are nearby if you don't have a car, and the center can store your vehicle while you're on the water.
