The experience
The winery sits in the Padua Hills near a medieval village, its trachyte courtyard and cellars surrounded by sprawling vineyards that have produced Pigozzo wines since 1914. You meet the artisans who craft them and move through the cellar to understand the role of meticulous production: the decisions that shape what ends up in your glass. The guide walks you through viticultural practices and sommelier techniques as you work through seven wines: sparkling, rosé, and reds built from Merlot, Cabernet and other autochthonous Italian grapes.
Each wine is paired with a selection of regional specialties: three aged cheeses and three cured meats, including the local Soppressa. Water and non-alcoholic drinks are served to travelers under 18. If rain or adverse weather arrives, the vineyard walk may not happen, though the tasting and cellar visit continue. You can request extra tastings if you want to go deeper.
