An artistic perfumery class in Veneto where you learn fragrance structure from an award-winning nose, blend your own personalized scent using professional techniques, and bottle it in a 15ml container with a custom label to take home. The workshop runs about three and a half hours and includes coffee, a welcome drink, and a certificate of participation. Children from age 12 are welcome. The guide conducts the session in Italian.

The experience

You arrive at the Perfumes of the Count atelier and begin with coffee and a welcome drink. The guide, an award-winning nose, walks you through how fragrances are built: the head notes that hit first, the heart that unfolds, the base that lingers. You'll learn to recognize olfactory families (florals, citrus, woody, spicy), and understand how natural raw materials and modern molecules work together. This is not a lecture. You're handling professional mouillettes (blotting strips) and training your own sense of smell to pick up what you've just learned.

The practical work comes next. Using the techniques and materials in front of you, you create a personalized fragrance that captures something you want to remember or give away. The guide is there to help you balance the layers, but the choices are yours. When you've settled on your blend, it gets bottled in a 15ml container with a label and note card you select. This is the fragrance you leave with: a tangible record of the afternoon and something you actually made.
