The Experience

The moment you step off the ferry at Olbia port, your driver is there with a sign and the keys to a climate-controlled sedan or minivan. No hunting for a taxi rank, no haggling over the fare to the Emerald Coast — the car is booked, the route is set, and you're moving toward Porto Cervo or Porto Rotondo or whichever of the coastal towns you've chosen before you even left home. The drive itself is quiet. You're not sharing a minibus with eight other passengers or sitting in traffic behind tour groups; it's just you, your luggage, and the road north along Sardinia's most expensive coastline.

The private transfer works in either direction — arriving at Olbia and heading out to the coast, or leaving your hotel in Porto Rotondo or Baia Sardinia and heading back to the port for your ferry. Your driver knows the route to all the main towns: Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, Baia Sardinia, Golfo Aranci, Palau, Pittulongu, San Teodoro, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Alghero, Stintino, and Porto Torres. If you're staying on a private yacht moored in one of the marinas, they'll drop you there instead. The vehicle is air-conditioned, which matters when you're traveling in summer heat with luggage and possibly children or pets. Child seats are available for €10 each if you need them; pets travel in carriers.

What you're not doing is waiting for a shared shuttle, timing your arrival to match a group departure, or trying to explain your destination to a driver who doesn't know the Emerald Coast. The transfer is one-way, so you choose when to leave and where to go. The driver handles the navigation and the comfort.
