If you have a free day in Cefalù and want to reach the Aeolian Islands without renting a car or arranging your own boat, this tour handles the logistics. You start with hotel pickup, then ride in an air-conditioned coach to Milazzo on the mainland coast. From there, you board a boat for the crossing to Lipari, the largest island in the archipelago. Once you arrive, a guide leads you through the island's archaeological sites before you have time to explore the main town on your own.

After Lipari, the tour moves to Vulcano, the island famous for its thermal attractions: the reason many travelers make the crossing. You'll spend time here before returning to Milazzo by boat and heading back to Cefalù by coach. The whole day runs 10 hours from start to finish, ending in the late afternoon.
