The Experience
The meeting point is Terzo Giardino, in the heart of Florence along the Arno's banks. You'll arrive before sunrise, meet the pilot and team, receive a safety briefing, and prepare for takeoff timed to the exact sunrise of the day you've chosen. The timing shifts with the season, so you'll know the hour when you book.
Once aloft, you spend an hour floating over Florence. The flight passes directly over the Arno River, the Brunelleschi Dome and the red-tiled roofs of the historic center, then carries you out toward the surrounding hills where vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees stretch across the landscape. The altitude and stillness of a balloon make details visible that ground-level views don't reach—the geometry of the city, the texture of the countryside, the way light hits the Arno at dawn.
After landing, the team serves prosecco, cured meats, schiacciata (a Florentine flatbread), sweets, fruit and water. The whole outing, from arrival to departure, takes three hours. Aviation insurance is included in the price.
