The experience

The balloon launches from a field near Florence and climbs on the wind currents that carry it over the city itself. From inside the basket, you see the architecture of Florence (the domes, the river, the layout of streets that shaped the Renaissance) from a vantage point no ground-level tour reaches. The flight crosses into the Chianti landscape surrounding the city, so the view shifts between urban monuments and the rolling hills beyond.

The whole experience runs three hours from start to finish: ground crew handles the setup and safety checks, you fly for one hour, and then the landing crew meets you at the touchdown zone to drive everyone back to the takeoff field.
