Eight hours between three islands: swim in named coves, eat lunch on the boat, walk a village, watch the sunset from the water

A full-day catamaran tour of the Egadi Islands departs from Favignana and sails to Levanzo, Cala Rossa and back, with stops for snorkeling, swimming and a meal. You visit Cala Calcara and Cala Fredda for clear-water dips, spend two hours ashore in Favignana's historic center, then return via Cala Rossa and Cala Azzurra, where an aperitif waits on board at sunset. A skipper narrates the islands' history and landscape throughout the day.

The experience

How do you see the Egadi Islands without renting a boat or hiring a private guide? You book a seat on the catamaran and let the skipper handle the route. The boat leaves Favignana and heads first to Levanzo, stopping at Cala Calcara: a cove with seabed clear enough to snorkel without a guide, equipment provided. The water is shallow and calm. You can see the bottom. From there the route moves to Cala Fredda for a second swim, then to the Faraglione di Levanzo, a rock formation that rises from the water, where you stop briefly to look.

Lunch happens on board at Cala del Pozzo after the morning swims, with typical local products served while you sit on the catamaran. After eating, the boat returns to Favignana's port and you have roughly two hours free to walk the town: the harbor, the narrow streets, the Museum of Tuna in the old Florio processing plant if you want to pay separate entry. This is not guided time. You move at your own pace. When you reboard, the catamaran heads to Cala Rossa, one of the named bays on postcards of Favignana, then passes through the Bue Marino area (skipper Tonino describes what you're seeing), and stops at Cala Azzurra for a final swim. An aperitif and seasonal fruit come on board as the sun sets, and the boat returns to port.

The catamaran carries a stewardess, a skipper who speaks English or Italian, and snorkeling gear for everyone. Fuel is included in the price. The tour runs eight hours from start to return. Drinks beyond the aperitif, and entry to any museum or attraction on land, are separate purchases.

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (4 to 12 years); Infant (under 4): free.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

What is Cala Calcara like for snorkeling if I've never done it before?

Cala Calcara has shallow, clear water and a sandy seabed, so you can see what's below without deep diving. The crew provides snorkeling equipment and the stop is designed for swimmers of all levels to get in the water safely.

How much time do I actually get to walk around Favignana?

You have about two hours on shore in Favignana's port and town. That's enough to walk the harbor, explore the historic center and narrow streets, and decide whether to pay separate entry to the Tuna Museum. It's not enough for a full-day visit to the island.

Does the boat stop at Cala Rossa for swimming, or just to look?

Cala Rossa is a stop for swimming. It's one of the most photographed bays on Favignana, and you'll have time in the water there before the boat moves to Cala Azzurra for the final swim and aperitif.

Is lunch included, or do I need to bring my own food?

Lunch with typical local products is included and served on board at Cala del Pozzo. Seasonal fruit and an aperitif at sunset are also included. Additional drinks are not.
