The boat leaves the Positano pier and heads toward Capri, where the tour centers on the island's most recognizable features: the Faraglioni, three limestone stacks that rise from the water, and a sequence of sea caves (the Blue Grotto, Green Grotto and White Grotto) each colored by the way light filters through the water and rock. You'll see these from the boat, and snorkeling equipment is on board if you want to enter the water. The cabin has a toilet and small kitchen, and the boat is outfitted with life jackets for adults and children.
Once you reach Capri, you step ashore for free time to explore the island at your own pace: the town, Marina Piccola, or any corner you choose. Later, the boat takes you to Amalfi, where again you have free time to visit the Cathedral and the Paper Museum or simply walk the waterfront. Soft drinks, beer, wine and prosecco are included. Snacks (chips, peanuts, dried fruit, taralli) are on board. WiFi runs throughout the day.
The boat you travel on depends on which option you choose at checkout (Don Paolo, Elisa, Me and You, New Life, or one of three Allure 38 vessels), so the size and layout vary. If you board in Capri rather than Positano, that's an additional cost at checkout. A shuttle service waits at the pier if traffic delays you.
