The experience

The day starts with making fettuccine by hand (learning the dough, the rolling, the cutting), then moving straight to the table where you eat what you made. Appetizers come first, then the pasta with either meat or vegetable ragout, finished with tiramisu. The garden setting (in warmer months) overlooks the lake. In winter the meal moves indoors. Children from age one are welcome, and the whole experience runs about a day, leaving the afternoon open for a swim in Lake Bracciano if you want one, or a walk through Anguillara Sabazia itself.

After lunch, the itinerary is yours to shape. Some travelers choose a refreshing swim in the lake. Others visit the Collegiate Church in the village or take the short trip to the Odescalchi castle in Bracciano. If you'd rather rest in the garden or head back early, that works too. A live guide leads the cooking and the meal in your choice of English, Spanish, Italian or French, and hotel pickup is included in the price. Tickets for any monument visits or a ferry ride are separate.
