The afternoon centers on Killarney National Park itself, established in 1932 as Ireland's first national park. You walk among the Lakes of Killarney and Black Valley, then stop at Torc Waterfall—an 18-metre cascade through wooded Friers Glenn with a hiking path to the top of Torc Mountain. Red deer live in the park and are often spotted near the waterfall. The return to Limerick is by 7pm approximately.
