The experience

The tour leaves Limerick at 8 am and heads south through Adare into County Kerry's mountains, arriving in Killarney before turning toward the peninsula. Inch Beach comes first: a three-mile stretch of golden sand facing the Atlantic, famous for surfing and fishing and the film locations shot along its shoreline. The beach sits at the start of Slea Head Drive, the route that winds through Gaelic-speaking villages and past four-thousand-year-old beehive huts, with views across to the Blasket Islands and the rock formation known as the Sleeping Giant.

The drive passes through Ballyferriter and the coves at Coonenoole and Clogherhead before reaching Dingle village itself. The fishing town sits on the peninsula's northern coast and is known for its fifty-two pubs, its role in multiple films, and Fungi the Dolphin, who has lived in the harbor for thirty years. After time in the village, the coach heads back over the mountains to Limerick, arriving around 7 pm.

The coach is air-conditioned and carries WiFi. The guide provides live commentary throughout the day. Pickup is at Arthur's Quay Park in Limerick at 8 am, though alternative collection points at Dublin Road near UL Campus (8:10 am) and Adare Heritage Centre (8:30 am) are available if arranged in advance with the operator.
