The experience
Padar Island opens the day with a hike up rugged hills that rewards you with panoramic views across three bays, each ringed with turquoise water and pale sand. The trail passes through habitat where deer, wild boars and native birds move through the landscape. Pink Beach follows: a stretch of rose-tinted sand where you can snorkel above vibrant coral reefs or float in the shallows while the light shifts across the water. The boat carries snorkeling equipment and towels. A local guide leads the day in English and adjusts timing at each stop to match what you want to do.
Manta Point is the centerpiece for many travelers: a snorkeling site where manta rays glide through clear water alongside tropical fish and coral gardens. Taka Makasar Island, a small sandbar fringed with white sand, offers another snorkeling option. The day wraps at one of three final stops: Siaba Island (known for turtles), Bidadari Island (secluded coves and reefs) or Kanawa Island (white sand and hiking trails). You choose which one fits the afternoon, or request a different site within the park waters if something else appeals to you.
The boat holds up to 10 people and includes hotel pickup and drop-off. The full day runs 10.5 hours with travel time built in. Tropical fruit, snacks and lunch are aboard. A toilet is on the boat. If you want to extend the day, optional add-ons (a sunset or sunrise session at Padar Island with an extra 3–4 hours of exploration), are available for an additional fee and arranged after you book.

What is Padar Island like when we hike it?
Padar Island has rugged hiking trails that climb through forest where deer and wild boars live. The summit opens onto panoramic views of three separate bays, each with turquoise water and pristine beaches below. The hike is the main draw for most visitors.
Can we snorkel at Manta Point, and what will we see there?
Manta Point is a snorkeling site where manta rays move through clear water alongside vibrant coral reefs and tropical fish. The rays are the main attraction. You enter the water and observe them gliding below, sometimes close enough for an intimate view of their movements.
What happens if we want to skip one of the stops and go somewhere else instead?
The itinerary is flexible by design. You can skip any stop and swap it for another site within Komodo National Park waters. The guide and boat will adjust the route to match your preference on the day.
What's included in the boat, and what do we need to bring?
Hotel pickup and drop-off, snorkeling gear, towels, tropical fruit, snacks and lunch are all included. A toilet is on board. You should bring sunscreen, a personal water bottle (the boat has a water dispenser), and any personal items you need. The operator asks that you mention allergies or dietary preferences when you book.
Can we add a sunset or sunrise session at Padar Island to the tour?
Yes. A sunset or sunrise add-on at Padar Island extends the day by 3–4 hours and includes extra exploration time. These are optional and cost additional. The operator contacts you after booking to arrange them if you're interested.
How many people can fit on the boat, and do we need to be very fit?
The boat accommodates up to 10 guests. The operator recommends moderate physical fitness to participate comfortably in the activities: hiking at Padar Island and snorkeling are the main physical components.
