The experience

Half-day or full-day private car transport means you don't negotiate shared minibus schedules or wait for group departures. You pick the morning or afternoon window that fits your plans, and the driver arrives at your hotel, airport or port at the time you set. The vehicle (a Toyota Avanza, Innova, HiAce or similar depending on whether you're traveling as a couple or a group of ten) is air-conditioned and comes with luggage space. Fuel and parking are covered. You pay only for the transport and any entrance fees to the sites you choose.

The driver is English-speaking and based locally, so they know which waterfalls are flowing, which village markets run on which days, and the back roads to Senggigi, Kuta Mandalika, Tetebatu, Sembalun and the snorkeling harbors around Bangsal. They can point you toward hidden beaches or highland viewpoints, but the day is built around what you want to see, not a fixed itinerary. If you'd rather have a separate tour guide walk you through a site, that's available as an add-on. Otherwise it's just you, your group and the driver's local knowledge.

Bottled water is included in the vehicle. Lunch, entrance fees to attractions and any optional services like a baby seat are arranged separately at checkout. The driver is punctual and familiar with the roads, so you spend the day moving between places instead of figuring out how to get there.

The route is entirely up to you. The driver can suggest stops and share local knowledge about what's worth seeing, but you decide where to go and how long to spend at each place. Half-day trips cover fewer stops than full-day ones, so the driver can help you prioritize based on your interests.

What's the difference between the half-day and full-day options?

Half-day service runs 4–5 hours and works well for a couple of nearby stops or a focused morning or afternoon. Full-day service is 8–10 hours and gives you time to reach more distant sites like the highlands around Sembalun or the beaches on the south coast.

Is the driver included, or do I need to arrange a guide separately?

The driver is included and speaks English. They're knowledgeable about Lombok and can give you tips and directions. If you want a dedicated tour guide to walk you through a specific site or explain the history in detail, you can add that as an extra.
