The experience

Tanjung Benoa is where the water sports happen, and the meeting point is where your instructor briefs you before the action starts. You'll begin with parasailing: five minutes airborne under a parachute, towed behind a boat, looking down at the coast as you rise and dip toward the waves. The rush comes from the height and the view. The instructor controls the boat and manages your safety.

After parasailing, you move to the banana boat: a long inflatable that seats several people and tears across the water at speed for 15 minutes, designed to throw riders around as it banks and accelerates. Then comes the flying fish: you lie on your back on an inflatable board shaped like a fish fin, towed behind the boat, and the board skips and crashes into the waves three separate times. The tubing ride is last. You sit in an inner tube towed at high speed for 15 minutes, gripping tight as the boat pulls you across the chop. The whole sequence takes 90 minutes from start to finish.

Facilities at Tanjung Benoa include a waiting room, shower, locker and bathroom. You get a bottle of mineral water and insurance is built in. Hotel pickup and drop-off cover the Nusa Dua and Jimbaran areas, so you don't arrange your own transport to the meeting point.
