The experience

The tour starts with pickup from your hotel at 4 p.m. and takes you to Bali Orchid Spa, where you spend two hours on a sequence of treatments: a Thalasso foot wash, Balinese massage, body scrub, yogurt moisturizer, and flower bath. The spa sits in a tropical garden with a waterfall in each room, designed around the idea that massage releases muscle tension and improves circulation. Reflexology targets stress points in the feet that connect to the rest of the body.

After the spa, your driver takes you to Jimbaran Beach for dinner. The seafood cafes line the sand in groups between the fish market in the north and Bukit Permai in the south. You walk to the front of the cafe, choose your grilled seafood from what is fresh, ask the price, and eat on the beach. The cafes cook over huge grills fired with coconut husk, which is how the whole barbeque atmosphere takes shape. The set menu includes traditionally prepared, locally caught seafood and French Mediterranean dishes.

Your driver brings you back to your hotel after dinner. The whole outing runs six to seven hours.
