If you've chosen the entry option, you can ride the cable car up and walk through the sculpture. Otherwise, you see it from the grounds. The site sits in a nature reserve with walking paths and viewpoints across the surrounding landscape.

From Jatayu, the drive continues to Varkala, a quieter coastal town about an hour away. Varkala Beach sits below red cliffs and draws fewer crowds than Kerala's busier stretches. The town also holds a 2,000-year-old Vishnu Temple and the Sivagiri Mutt ashram if you want to explore beyond the beach itself. Lunch is available at local restaurants in Varkala if you've selected the meal package. Otherwise, you have time to eat on your own. The return drive to your hotel takes roughly ninety minutes.
