The experience
The driver picks you up at 11 AM and takes you through Jaipur's shopping district in a private air-conditioned car. You stop at Akee International to browse cashmere, silk and wool shawls; Johari Bazaar, where Jaipur's jewelry makers display intricate pieces; Heritage Textiles for handcrafted fabrics and pashmina; and Bapu Bazaar, a sprawling market stocked with brass work, artificial jewelry, handlooms and stone carvings. Each stop is a working marketplace, not a curated showroom. You move at your own pace and buy what catches your eye.
The two workshops are the core of the experience. In the block printing session, you watch artisans carve wooden blocks and apply them to fabric by hand, then try the technique yourself on a small piece. The stone carving workshop follows the same format: you see how local craftspeople shape and detail stone, then work with chisel and hammer to make a simple carving. Both run 15 minutes each and happen on-site at the artisan workshops, so you're learning from people who do this work every day, not in a tourist studio.
The tour runs between two and five hours depending on how long you spend in each market and how much you shop. Bottled water is provided. Hotel, airport or railway station pickup and drop-off are included, along with the driver, fuel, parking and all taxes. You can book the tour by private car or by tuk-tuk. The car option is more comfortable for longer shopping trips and gives you more luggage space.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Russian and Japanese.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (6 to 11 years). Children under 6 can't be included in the booking.
What is Bapu Bazaar like, and what can I actually buy there?
Bapu Bazaar is Jaipur's largest general market, stocked with handlooms, brass work, artificial jewelry, stone carvings, accessories and shoes. It reflects Rajasthani tradition through its handicrafts and vibrant street-market energy, so you'll find everything from textiles to precious stones in one sprawling area.
Do I get to keep what I make in the block printing and stone carving workshops?
Yes. In each 15-minute workshop, you work with the artisan's materials and tools to create a piece (a printed fabric sample in block printing, a carved stone object in the carving session), and you take it with you.
How much time do I actually spend shopping versus traveling between stops?
The tour runs two to five hours total, and most of that time is yours to spend in the markets. The driver takes you between stops, but how long you stay at each bazaar and workshop is up to you.
