The Experience
The dive begins at the shop where you gear up with a scuba jacket, oxygen mask and all the equipment the dive professional will walk you through. You learn the hand signals and safety basics before entering the water, following PADI standards. The shallow-water training comes first — this is where you get comfortable with breathing underwater and moving in the gear before the actual dive starts.
Once you're ready, the certified diver enters the water with you and stays at your side for the entire descent. How deep you go depends on what feels right to you and what the instructor sees in the water; the maximum is 40 feet, but you set the pace. The dive itself runs 30 to 40 minutes depending on how much air you're using and how comfortable you feel. A professional is there to handle your safety and to manage any moment that feels uncertain.
You'll get underwater photos and video of the dive, and all fees and taxes are built into the price. Slot times between 5 AM and 11 AM are assigned once your booking is confirmed. Children from age 10 can join; the activity requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness.
