The experience
The route starts in Delhi because most international flights land there, though you can arrange pickup from Jaipur airport at the same cost. Day one covers Delhi's major sites: Humayun's Tomb, built in 1565 with its distinctive double dome and chaharbagh gardens; Qutub Minar, the 12th-century minaret that marks the start of Muslim rule in India; the Lotus Temple, open to visitors of all faiths; and India Gate, the war memorial designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931. You stay in a 4/5-star hotel in Delhi.
Day two is the transfer to Agra, stopping at Agra Fort (the 16th-century red sandstone fortress built by Shah Jahan), and Mehtab Bagh, the crescent-shaped Mughal garden along the Yamuna River that photographers favor for its views of the Taj Mahal. Day three centers on the Taj Mahal itself, then continues to Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's short-lived capital 40 kilometers west of Agra, built after a saint's prophecy foretold the birth of Akbar's heir. The transfer to Jaipur happens the same day. Day four in Jaipur includes Amber Fort, the 1592 red sandstone palace 11 kilometers outside the city with its Sheesh Mahal and Shila Devi Temple; the City Palace, still partially occupied by the royal family; Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory built in 1724; Hawa Mahal, the five-story "Palace of the Winds" from 1799; and Jal Mahal, the water palace in the center of Man Sagar Lake. Day five is the return transfer to Delhi, timed to your flight schedule: roughly five hours by road.
A private vehicle and guide stay with you throughout. The guide speaks English, Spanish, French, German or one additional language. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as are 4 nights of accommodation. You choose the hotel tier at checkout. Lunch and dinner are not included, giving you flexibility to eat where you prefer. One child under 10 travels free when accompanied by two adults.

What's the difference between the 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel options on this tour?
The tour offers three accommodation tiers at checkout: 3-star, 4-star and 5-star properties. All are included in the tour price. You select the standard that suits your budget and comfort level when you book.
Does the tour include meals?
Breakfast is included with your hotel accommodation. Lunch and dinner are not included, so you can choose restaurants that appeal to you at each stop or arrange meals separately.
Can I start the tour from Jaipur instead of Delhi?

What is Fatehpur Sikri and why does the tour stop there?
Fatehpur Sikri, 40 kilometers west of Agra, was Emperor Akbar's capital from 1571 to 1585. It's a fortified city showcasing Indo-Islamic architecture and sits on the route between Agra and Jaipur, making it a natural stop on the Golden Triangle.
Is the driver-guide tip included in the tour price?
Driver-guide gratuity is optional and added at checkout if you choose to include it. It is not part of the base tour price.
