A 3-day guided tour covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with local guides in each city, hotel pickup from Delhi, and 2 nights accommodation. You visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in Agra; Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Jal Mahal in Jaipur; and Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple and India Gate in Delhi. Day 1: Delhi sightseeing and transfer to Agra

The experience

Pickup happens at Delhi airport or your hotel in Delhi, Gurgaon or Noida according to your flight time. Your guide takes you through the capital's monuments: Qutub Minar, a UNESCO-listed minaret in Mehrauli; Humayun's Tomb, built by Persian architects in the 16th century; the Lotus Temple with its distinctive flower shape; and India Gate, the war memorial on the ceremonial axis of New Delhi. By evening you drive to Agra, about three hours away.

Day two centers on Agra. You see the Taj Mahal, the ivory-white marble mausoleum commissioned in 1632 by Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, and Agra Fort, the former main residence of the Mughal emperors until the capital moved to Delhi in 1638. After Agra, you transfer to Jaipur for your second night.

The final day is a guided tour of Jaipur, the Pink City founded in 1727. You walk through the City Palace complex with its gardens and courtyards; see Hawa Mahal, the red and pink sandstone palace built in 1799; visit Jantar Mantar, a collection of 19 astronomical instruments completed in 1734 and home to the world's largest stone sundial; and view Jal Mahal, the palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. You then drive back to Delhi for drop-off at your hotel.
