The experience
The day starts with a ride through Roatan's interior and coastal trails. You'll pass through Sandy Bay's mangrove paths and ride along the beach for photos, then stop at two local producers: a chocolate factory where you taste artisanal cacao and learn how it's made, and the Roatan Rum Company, where you can sample different rums and take pictures from a vantage point overlooking both sides of the island. A guide in English or Spanish leads the whole sequence and handles the logistics.
The snorkeling happens at West Bay's Blue Channel, one of the island's most popular reef areas. You'll see different marine species and colored corals along the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. After the snorkel, you get an hour to relax on West Bay Beach itself before heading back. Private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle is included for all pickups and stops.
