The Experience

They let us taste these tiny pieces of dark chocolate straight from the mold—still warm, slightly bitter, nothing like what I buy at home. I kept thinking about how simple it looked but how much work goes into each bar.

At the Roatan Rum Company, they sliced up pieces of rum cake for us on napkins. It’s sticky and sweet, with this boozy kick that sneaks up after you swallow.
