The experience
The waterfall sits on a working coffee farm 45 minutes from Antigua, so you're not just rappelling. You're descending into an active agricultural landscape. Your guide teaches you the technique on-site. No previous experience is required. Once you're rigged with certified equipment, you control the descent down the 42-meter drop, moving at your own pace with the guide managing the safety systems. Kids from ages 9 up can do this too.
After you reach the base and swim in the natural spring pool, the day shifts to the farm itself. Lunch at the on-site restaurant uses fresh local ingredients, with vegetarian options available. You'll sit with views of the surrounding highlands and the Pacaya Volcano in the distance. The guides have nearly 10 years of experience running this specific site, so they know the waterfall, the equipment and the farm's rhythms.
Transportation from your hotel in Antigua or Guatemala City is included, along with all the safety gear, digital photos from the day and the meal. Bring comfortable clothes, a bathing suit and hiking boots or tennis shoes. Everything else is provided.
