Snorkeling in Grenada: Molinière Sculptures & Hog Island
Dive among sunken sculptures, then beach and lunch on an island
A full-day snorkeling cruise in Grenada takes you to the Molinière Underwater Sculpture Park, where you explore an underwater gallery of sculptures and coral reef, then sails to Hog Island for a Caribbean-style lunch and beach time. The boat carries an English-speaking guide, includes all snorkeling equipment and lunch, and runs with an open bar throughout the day; children are welcome from age 12.
Step-by-step itinerary
Full-day snorkeling and island cruise
- Snorkel at Molinière Underwater Sculpture Park
- Enjoy BBQ lunch at Hog Island
- Shop with local vendors on Hog Island
The Experience
Six hours on the water means two distinct stops instead of a rushed loop. The boat departs and heads first to the Molinière Underwater Sculpture Park, where you spend 60 minutes in the water exploring sunken sculptures and the vibrant coral reef around them. The sculptures sit in shallow, clear water, so you move at your own pace and surface whenever you need to. A guide is on board to point out what you're looking at and answer questions, but the snorkeling itself is yours to control.
After the park, the boat sails to Hog Island, a smaller island where the crew prepares a BBQ lunch on the beach. You eat, swim in the warm water if you want another dip, and have time to browse local vendors who set up on the sand. The open bar runs the whole day—drinks come throughout the cruise, not just at one stop—so you're not managing a separate tab or timing your orders around the schedule.
Lobster is off the menu from May through August due to closed season; the kitchen substitutes jumbo shrimp during those months. Snorkeling equipment is provided, so you only need to bring a towel and sunscreen. The boat operates in open water, so it's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or significant cardiovascular concerns; pregnant travelers should also sit this one out. Everyone else, regardless of swimming ability, can join.
