Snorkeling in Nafplio: Small Group Sail with Meal
Swim and snorkel at three remote beaches reachable only by boat.
A small-group sailing cruise from Nafplio's Old Port visits 2–3 remote beaches in the Argolic Gulf (Xiropigado, Romvi and Daskalio), where you swim, snorkel and paddleboard in clear water. The boat carries snorkel equipment, a stand-up paddleboard, a GoPro camera and a full Mediterranean meal prepared onboard. A live English or Greek-speaking guide and host lead the day. The itinerary can shift based on weather or passenger numbers.

The experience
You board at Nafplio's Old Port and sail past the town's coastline toward the first stop near Xiropigado, a remote beach accessible only by water. The boat carries everything you need (snorkel gear, a paddleboard, bottled water and sodas), so you arrive ready to enter the water. A short stop here lets you explore the underwater landscape and the surrounding cliffs without the crowds of land-based beaches.
The second leg crosses toward Romvi and Daskalio, two islands off the coast of Tolo. This is where the day opens up: you have time to swim, snorkel deeper into the gulf, or try the paddleboard if you want a different angle on the water. The captain and host prepare a full Mediterranean meal onboard while you're in the water or resting on deck, so lunch arrives hot and ready when you climb back aboard. Between swims, the guide shares the history and geology of the area: the islands, the coastline, why these waters hold what they do.
The sail back to Nafplio's Old Port is built into the schedule, so you don't scramble to make a return time. Groups stay small (minimum 5 passengers, maximum under 12) and the boat adjusts its stops if weather shifts or if the group wants to linger at one beach longer. A GoPro camera is available if you want footage of the snorkeling without managing your own equipment in the water.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English or Greek, so you follow the commentary and history of the area in whichever language you're comfortable with. Groups stay under a dozen passengers, which means the boat can linger at a beach if the snorkeling is good or move on quickly if conditions shift.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I snorkel if I've never done it before?
Snorkeling equipment is included and the guide is there to help you get comfortable in the water. The remote beaches have calm, clear water and the boat stays close, so you can enter at your own pace and return whenever you want.
What's included in the meal onboard?
A full Mediterranean meal is prepared and served on the boat. Bottled water and sodas are available throughout the day. Alcohol is not served to passengers under 21.
How long is the boat ride from Nafplio to the first snorkeling stop?
The full cruise lasts about 4.5 hours from departure to return, with the first leg to Xiropigado taking roughly 30 minutes. Most of the day is spent at the remote beaches and islands rather than traveling.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my booking?
The captain can modify the itinerary based on conditions: changing which beaches you visit or how long you stay at each one. If passenger numbers fall below the minimum of 5, the cruise may be rescheduled.
Do I need to bring my own snorkel gear?
No, snorkel equipment, a stand-up paddleboard and a GoPro camera are all included. You'll want to bring a swimsuit, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, which are not provided.
