The experience
The speed boat leaves Kalamata Port with a maximum small group and a professional captain who navigates the coastline while you decide when and where to enter the water. Your first stop is the turquoise bay near Kitries, a fishing village where the water invites an immediate swim. From there the boat moves to Kardamyli, a stone-built village backed by the Taygetos Mountains, and you cruise the Meropi island channel before anchoring at Porto Kalamitsi bay: a pebble beach ringed by cypress trees where the crew sets out the first spread of local food and drinks.
The final stop is Foneas, a protected cove with sea caves you can swim inside and rocky cliffs rising above. Snorkeling equipment is ready on board, along with a stand-up paddleboard, swimming noodles and floaties if you want them. The boat carries an underwater sea scooter for anyone who wants to try it. Between stops you stay aboard, refreshed with unlimited complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, soft drinks, local beer and bottled water), and the crew refills the food as the afternoon or sunset progresses. WiFi is available on board if you need it.
A van picks you up from your accommodation anywhere in the Kalamata city area and brings you back after the cruise ends. The boat carries third-party liability insurance and yacht passenger accident insurance as standard. Children in prams or strollers are welcome, and specialized infant seats are available if needed.

Is this one for you? This is a shared private cruise (your group books the boat together, not a seat on a larger vessel), so the pace and the stops are yours to shape within the four-hour window. Choose it if you want snorkeling and swimming without driving or navigating yourself, and if you prefer a crew handling the food and the route while you focus on the water and the caves.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can I snorkel at every stop on this cruise?
Snorkeling is available at the stops where conditions suit it: Kitries, Porto Kalamitsi and Foneas all have calm anchorages with snorkeling gear provided on board. The Kardamyli stop is a coastal cruise past the village rather than a swimming anchorage, so you stay aboard and take in the scenery and the Mourtzinos Tower from the water.
What is Foneas and why is it worth the stop?
Foneas is a small beach tucked between rugged cliffs on the southern Peloponnese coast, known for sea caves you can swim inside and rocky outcrops for diving. It's a protected cove and one of the more secluded spots on the route.
Is the food included, or do I need to bring my own lunch?
Local food is served on board (Kalamata olives, talagani cheese, Greek salad, pasta, tortillas and a fruit bowl) along with unlimited complimentary drinks. Any lunch or dinner ashore is not included, but the boat's spread is substantial enough for a half-day cruise.
How does the morning departure differ from the sunset cruise?
You choose the timing when you book. Both follow the same four-stop route and include the same food, drinks and snorkeling stops. The difference is the light and the time of day you're on the water.
Is hotel pickup really free, or does it cost extra?
Hotel pickup and drop-off within the Kalamata city area are included in the price at no extra charge. The van service runs to and from your accommodation near the city.
