The experience
The boat leaves Lindos harbour at 10am and heads north under sail: roughly an hour and twenty minutes to the first stop, though wind conditions shift the timing. You're invited to take the wheel and adjust the sails if you want to, or simply stretch out on the cushioned loungers while the skipper manages the course. The choice is yours at each leg of the journey.
Three bays anchor the day. Red Sand Beach, unreachable by car, sits in turquoise water where you'll snorkel among rocks and swim in isolation from the crowds. Agathi Beach comes next, a sandy bay where the boat anchors on the quieter side away from day-trippers. The rocks nearby hold the best snorkelling. The final stop brings you back to Lindos bay itself, where the Acropolis rises from the water: spend forty-five minutes here swimming or watching for local sea turtles. Fruits and drinks arrive at each anchorage. Lunch and a full spread of drinks (up to four servings of Prosecco, beer, wine or soft drinks per person) come aboard between stops on the full-day trip.
Snorkelling gear and a waterproof camera are provided. The itinerary shifts with weather, and the skipper speaks English, Italian or Greek. Infants sit on an adult's lap. The activity suits all fitness levels.

Is this one for you?Book the full-day trip if you want lunch and the longest time in the water. The half-day option at 4pm works if you're fitting this around other plans in Lindos. Either way, a private boat means you set the pace between stops and decide how involved you want to be with sailing the yacht.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Italian and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I actually steer the boat myself, or is that just an option?
Steering and sail-trimming are open to you at each leg if weather permits. The skipper will show you how. You're equally welcome to stay on the cushions and let him handle it. The choice is yours throughout the day.
What's the snorkelling like at these three bays?
Red Sand Beach and Agathi Beach both have rocky areas worth exploring with a mask and fins. Lindos bay, watched over by the Acropolis on the cliff above, sometimes hosts sea turtles. Visibility is clear, and the skipper will point out where the best spots are.
Is lunch really included, or does that cost extra?
Greek lunch with salad and fruits comes with the full-day trip if you book more than fourteen hours in advance. The half-day option includes fruit only. Either way, drinks are served at each stop.
How much time do we actually spend swimming versus sailing?
Sailing between stops takes roughly an hour to an hour and a half depending on wind. You'll spend time swimming and snorkelling at each of the three bays, with the longest stop at Lindos bay running about forty-five minutes.
What if the weather turns bad?
The itinerary adjusts based on weather conditions. The skipper decides which bays are safe to visit and may alter the route. You'll still get out on the water and snorkel, but the exact stops may change.
