The experience
What does it take to start climbing outdoors? This course answers it by teaching you the fundamentals in a single morning on Mount Olympus. You meet at 12:30 in Vrontou, get fitted with a helmet and harness, then hike to the climbing field next to the river. Your guide walks you through the essential skills (equipment, movement, ropes, anchoring, belaying) at the level that matches your experience. Beginners start with Via Ferrata (a fixed-line climbing route), rappelling, and an easy top rope climb. Level 1 adds partner climbing, basic knots, rope management, and climbing gear mastery. Level 2 prepares you for leading climbs with quickdraws and introduces multi-pitch climbing. The guide teaches each technique hands-on, so by the end of the four hours you have the confidence to climb outdoors.
The small group size means your guide can watch your form and adjust the pace to where you actually are, not where the group average is. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included if you request them, so you don't arrange transport separately. The course operates in all weather. Just dress for the conditions. Safety gear, the guide's instruction, and National Park fees are all covered. You bring appropriate footwear and a willingness to try something new.

Is this one for you?Choose your level at checkout: Beginners if you've never climbed, Level 1 if you want to learn partner climbing and rope work, or Level 2 if you're ready for leading climbs. The small group means the guide can watch your form and adjust the pace to where you actually are, which is what makes the four hours enough to build real confidence instead of just trying techniques once.
