The experience
How do you fit the best of Rhodes into one day without renting a car or following a fixed schedule? This private tour picks you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned minivan and builds the route around what matters to you. The driver speaks English and knows the island well enough to answer questions as you go, but the stops and the pace are yours to set.
Seven Springs starts the day with a walk through a narrow tunnel carved into the rock, leading down to a lagoon and waterfall surrounded by natural springs and bird species. It's not a casual stroll (the passage is dark and tight), but the payoff is a quiet, shaded spot most visitors miss. From there, the tour moves to Butterfly Valley, where the rare Panaxia Quadripunctaria butterfly appears from mid-June through late September. The valley itself is the draw: pine-clad slopes, a stream, wooden bridges, small waterfalls and shady paths that stay peaceful when you arrive early, before other groups filter in. Embonas, 54 kilometers from Rhodes town and built halfway up Mount Attavyros, is the island's wine center. You'll taste several local wines in the village and visit the Traditional House of Embonas, which sits among vineyards that have grown the same grape variety since antiquity.
Monolithos offers a high vantage point with views across to Chalki Island, good for photographs. On the way south, Prasonissi beach is the literal meeting point of two seas: the Mediterranean and the Aegean. You can swim in one, then step into the other within seconds. The total time includes all driving between stops, so the nine hours account for the full day from pickup to return.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the walk at Seven Springs actually like?
Seven Springs involves a narrow, dark tunnel carved through rock that leads down to a lagoon and waterfall. It's a short walk but confined and unlit, so it's not suitable for anyone uncomfortable in tight or dark spaces. The reward is a quiet, shaded natural pool surrounded by the seven springs themselves.
When can I see the butterflies at Butterfly Valley?
The rare Panaxia Quadripunctaria butterflies appear from mid-June through late September. Outside that window, the valley is still worth visiting for its streams, wooden bridges, waterfalls and pine-covered slopes, but the butterflies won't be there. The tour arrives early to catch the valley quiet, before other groups arrive.
What happens at the wine tasting in Embonas?
Embonas is Rhodes's wine production center, and you'll taste several local wines there and visit the Traditional House of Embonas. The village sits on the slopes of Mount Attavyros surrounded by vineyards growing a grape variety that dates back to antiquity. Wine tasting is the main activity. Lunch is not included.
Is Prasonissi really where two seas meet?
Prasonissi beach is the actual meeting point of the Mediterranean and Aegean Sea. You can swim in the Mediterranean, then wade or swim into the Aegean Sea just meters away. It's a real geographic feature, not a marketing angle, and the beach is the tour's final stop.
Can I customize which stops we visit?
Yes. This is a private tour, so the itinerary can be shaped around your interests. The standard route covers Seven Springs, Butterfly Valley, Embonas, Monolithos and Prasonissi, but you can discuss changes with the driver when you're picked up.
