The experience
The tour runs four to five hours, and you decide when to start: anytime between 8am and 8pm. After booking, the operator contacts you to confirm your preferred time and to talk through what you want to see. That conversation shapes the whole day: if you're drawn to beaches, the guide steers toward Agios Sostis, Fokos, Tigani or the more remote Merchia. If villages matter more, Ano Mera and Agios Iannis are options, along with the 15th-century Panagia Tourliani Monastery. Mykonos Town itself (with its windmills, whitewashed houses and the five-church complex of Panagia Paraportiani) can anchor the itinerary or be a single stop.
You travel in a private air-conditioned Jeep, which means no shared schedule and no waiting for other groups. The vehicle seats your party only. Along the way, the guide offers coffee or tea and bottled water. If you want to swim at a secluded beach, stop at a traditional farmstead to meet animals and taste homemade Greek food, or visit a winery to taste local wines, those are all options the guide can arrange. A taverna lunch at Agios Sostis can be organized on request, though meals aren't included in the tour price. The Armenistis Lighthouse, perched on the north coast, is another optional stop: a place to stand and photograph the Aegean and neighboring islands.
Pickup and drop-off happen anywhere you're staying on Mykonos, so there's no separate transport to arrange. The guide speaks English and knows the island well enough to suggest routes based on what you want to do and how much time you have. Children from age one are welcome, and the vehicle has specialized infant seats available if you need one.

Top questions

Yes. Ticket types: Child (1 to 5 years).
Can I swim during the private Mykonos tour?
Yes. Agios Sostis, Fokos, Tigani, Kapari and other secluded beaches are optional stops you can add to your itinerary. The guide can also take you to the more remote Merchia beach on the north coast if you want fewer crowds.
What is Panagia Paraportiani in Mykonos Town?
Panagia Paraportiani is a distinctive church complex made up of five separate buildings clustered together, with the oldest dating back to the 14th century. It's one of the most photographed sites in Mykonos and sits in the old town near the waterfront.
Does the tour include a meal?
Meals are not included in the tour price, but your guide can arrange lunch at a traditional taverna: particularly at Agios Sostis, where an authentic local spot serves Mykonian dishes. You request this when you confirm your start time.
How does the guide know what to show me?
After you book, the operator contacts you by email, WhatsApp, Viber or phone to discuss your interests. You can describe what you want to see (beaches, villages, monasteries, farms, wineries, or a mix), and the guide builds the route around your preferences.
What is the Panagia Tourliani Monastery?
Panagia Tourliani is a historic monastery built in the 15th century in the village of Ano Mera, one of Mykonos's oldest settlements. It's one of the island's main attractions and an optional stop on the tour where the guide shares its history.
